What’s the difference between an incomplete pass and a fumble?

An incomplete pass is a pass that is dropped before someone has full possession of the ball, or just hits the ground. An incomplete pass means the ball is dead and the play is over.

A fumble is a ball that is dropped or stripped from the player carrying it,When a player fumbles, the ball is live and either team can gain possession if they pick it up first.
