NFL Summertime Sadness Cure: Sangria

Anxiously awaiting the start of the NFL season? Avoid NFL Summertime Sadness with this delicious Sangria recipe. Treat your NFL off-season blues with this cure as many times you feel necessary, which means A LOT!

NFL SUMMERTINE SADNESS CURE: SANGRIA

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 1/2 cups simple syrup*
  • 1 box of Black Box red wine
  • 1 1/2 cups blackberrry brandy
  • 1 cup triple sec
  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 4 oranges, sliced into thin rounds
  • 
4 green apples, cored and sliced thin
  • 4 lemons, sliced into thin rounds

Let’s put it all together:
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher, cover, and refrigerate for 2 hours or up to 2 days. Serve over ice.

*Bring 1 cup sugar and 2 cups water to a simmer over medium-high heat until sugar is completely dissolved. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes to create a thicker syrup. Allow syrup to cool completely.
