This year’s Super Bowl Media Day was a pretty tame affair. Just your usual run-of-the-mill, media maelstrom that included erotica lit, salsa dancing, karaoke and celebrity crushes. Rob Gronkowski and Richard Sherman both worked the room (read: media minefield) like charismatic bosses. Here are a few of the highlights.
Richard Sherman, Seahawks Cornerback, was cool, calm and collected as he fielded questions from reporters. Christopher Price (@cpriceNFL) tweeted one standout sound byte about Brady:
“Richard Sherman on how he feels about giving Brady nightmares: “I didn’t know I was in his dream sphere.”
Then Sherman took a T/O from the media’s questions to show his svelte salsa skills. The man has MOVES for DAYS!
Rob Gronkowski, Patriots Tight End, was his usual rambunctious self, and he exuded boyish charm while he dealt with more than a few ridiculous media members.
The Gronk read an excerpt from the erotic novel, A Gronking to Remember:
“In front of the entire country, Gronk’s spikes impacts right between my buttcheeks” he said with a laugh.
He revealed who his celebrity crush is….Pammy Andreson…WHAT the? Ok. No judgement. I mean, maybe a little.
Then Michelle Williams, formerly of Destiny’s Child, popped up and quite forcibly demanded Gronk sing a Katy Perry song with her. The two settled on “Roar.”
The Gronk deserves some major bonus points for managing all this mayhem so gracefully.
