You’re probably out enjoying your Saturday night with a cocktail in hand, or you’re cozied up watching college football, but WE wanted to make sure you are READY for tomorrow’s football gameday with this recipe! We introduce to you, the “Drunken dog” recipe, it only takes 5 minutes to prepare and 1 hour to cook (leaving you plenty of free time to pop the bubbly and update your fantasy football before kick off). Ladies, it’s a tasty treat that’s easy to pop into your mouth (that’s what she said), and Men, you will love your gorgeous lady eternally if she graces you with this appetizer made with…BOURBON (start hinting now), or turn the tables and make it for your wifey or girlfriend! Whoever makes this dish, its EASY and will impress. This is THE football gameday recipe!


1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup Bourbon
1/2 cup water
2 lbs all beef wieners, thick slices* (that’s what she said)
1 onion, chopped

*Vegetarians, try Veggie-Franks, but keep your eye on the 1 hour cook, we’re not sure how’ll they’ll hold up!


Combine ketchup, brown sugar, bourbon and water in electric skillet or crock-pot.

[dropcap]2[/dropcap] Add wieners and onion, stirring well.

[dropcap]3[/dropcap] Cover and cook on low heat for 1 hour

If you’re at home, stab it with a toothpick, throw it on your favorite serving plate, and serve to your gameday loved ones! If you’re heading to a tailgate, bring the toothpicks and stab straight from the well. Sweet, savory, fun, goodness, and pretty good-lookin!
